As CEO and Owner of Prosperity Advisory Group, John provides the drive and knowledge for the success of the team and our clients. His focus on market research, portfolio design and financial planning projections is a key factor in clients’ achieving their financial prosperity. John is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and he holds the Series 7, 63, 24 and SIE licenses. In addition to holding the New York State insurance license for Life, Accident and Health, he is a notary public.

John began his career in financial services in 1997 as a Client Service Coordinator for KM Investment Services. Between 1999 and 2002, he worked for the Sutherland Group where he advanced to manager of the Application Help Desk. John returned to KM Investment Services in 2002 where his drive enabled him to take on more advanced responsibilities. He started as a Client Service Coordinator, quickly advancing to licensed Financial Advisor, Director of Financial Planning, and Chief Compliance Officer before acquiring the company in 2020 from its founder, Kathryn Meredith. John attended St. Bonaventure University and completed the CFP Certification Professional Education Program through the College for Financial Planning.

John spends much of his free time working on financial planning and doing investment research, a reflection of his dedication to helping as many clients as he can. John lives in Pittsford. He is an avid golfer, enjoys playing Texas Hold’em poker, and visiting a local pinball arcade.
